Quote follow-up text template for builders
Three texts, one per stage, written for builders. Each fits one 160-character text with a real link. Swap in your name, the job and the job address.
Day 2
Hi Sam, Mill Lane Builders. Are you still thinking about the rear extension at 14 Mill Lane? Happy to talk it through: (link)
Day 5
Hi Sam, Mill Lane Builders again. Shall we go ahead with the single-storey rear extension? Book in or ask for a call: (link)
Day 10 (or send this one by email only)
Hi Sam, last message from Mill Lane Builders about the single-storey rear extension. Still want it? (link)
Why this wording
- Who you are in the first five words. A text from an unknown business name is deleted.
- The job address is in it, because that is what the customer remembers. Not a quote number.
- The price is in the day-2 text, or left for the page on a job this size; it is on the page the link opens either way.
- One question. A link that answers with a tap.
For builders in particular
- Leave the price out of the text for a big job; it is on the page they tap through to.
- Use the gentle plan: day 3, day 10, then a last email. Big decisions take weeks.
Example quote
Single-storey rear extension, £38,000. You priced the extension, sent it, and heard nothing for a month.
Chase My Quote sends these in your name on day 2, day 5 and day 10, fills the fields in, shortens a long job line rather than send two texts, and stops when the customer answers. See it for builders or start free.
