Quote follow-up text template for mobile mechanics
Three texts, one per stage, written for mobile mechanics. Each fits one 160-character text with a real link. Swap in your name, the job and the registration.
Day 2
Hi Sam, it's Dave the mechanic. Still want the clutch done on your Fiesta at £540? I can come to you: (link)
Day 5
Hi Sam, Dave the mechanic again. Shall we go ahead with the clutch replacement at the customer's home? Book in or ask for a call: (link)
Day 10 (or send this one by email only)
Hi Sam, last message from Dave the mechanic about the clutch replacement at the customer's home. Still want it? (link)
Why this wording
- Who you are in the first five words. A text from an unknown business name is deleted.
- The registration is in it, because that is what the customer remembers. Not a quote number.
- The price is in the day-2 text for a job this size; it is on the page the link opens either way.
- One question. A link that answers with a tap.
For mobile mechanics in particular
- Let the follow-ups go in working hours even if you quoted at night.
- A booked-in customer saves you a wasted journey: ask "when suits?" on the yes.
Example quote
Clutch replacement at the customer's home, £540. You quoted from the van between jobs, by text, and never heard back.
Chase My Quote sends these in your name on day 2, day 5 and day 10, fills the fields in, shortens a long job line rather than send two texts, and stops when the customer answers. See it for mobile mechanics or start free.
