How long should you wait before following up a quote?
Two working days. Long enough not to crowd them, short enough that the job is still on their mind.
Day 2 is the sweet spot for most trades. The customer has had a day to read the quote and a day to forget it. A short message on the second working day brings it back to the top of the pile while they still remember asking.
Faster for tyres, MOT failures and anything with a deadline: day 1 and day 3. Slower for big decisions like extensions and kitchens: day 3 and day 10, because a quick chase on a £38,000 job reads as pressure.
Count working days, not days. A quote sent on Friday should not be chased on Sunday.
